  When I made this song I was in a bad place. However when i spoke to friends & colleagues about my situation the phrase "hard to hate" popped up.
  
  For context, I'm married, I moved out of the family home, and my creative juices have returned with a joyful vengeance...
  
  Yet there was an emptiness that filled me at the time. What was causing it? A bleakness, the colour grey. I wasn't able to work it out. Soon after making the track I had a public mental breakdown on here, and many of you reached out to me (which I'm still grateful for.)
  
  I heard the melody for the song from a Formula 1 PS1 soundtrack and immediately hummed the drums that became the backbone of 'hard2hate'. The lyrics from Dave - Starlight was the icing on the cake.
  
  I didn't have an idea of how to introduce the song to the world, so I just randomly dropped it on Soundcloud and Spotify the same day I made it. I had to. I literally mixed down the beat, mastered it, and uploaded it. To be honest, the contents of the song don't bring me to a fun time in my life. But I am proud of the authenticity behind the creation because it was an actual representation of how I was feeling.
